December’s gas stove recall for carbon monoxide emissions just got expanded by 2,000
The reason ZLINE is recalling its gas stoves hasn’t changed, but the size of the recall has, going from 28,000 to 30,000. And those additional 2,000 are the big ones — three models of the 48-inch stoves.
The problem, as described in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall expansion notice, is the same as in the December recall of 30-inch and 36-inch stoves: “The oven of the gas ranges can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.”

This involves the oven on ZLINE gas ranges with model Nos. G48, RGS-48, and RGB-48.
ZLINE says you can still use the stove top, but stop using the oven until you get your free in-home repair.
