  • White House dream comes true for '83 NC State championship team

After winning the 1983 NCAA National Championship in a buzzer-beater game against the University of Houston, the Wolfpack finally made a well-earned visit to the White House Monday. The N.C. State athletic department refused to pay the bus fare for the team to meet President Ronald Reagan in Washington, D.C. Thirty-three years later, remaining team members met with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in the East Room of the White House.
