Obama's lame-duck lesson: 'We are not doomed to gridlock'

President Barack Obama basked in a series of year-end legislative victories Wednesday, calling them a testament to bipartisanship. “If there's any lesson to draw from these past few weeks, it's that we are not doomed to endless gridlock,” Obama said in a year-end news conference, his 11th since moving into the White House.
