Charlotte gained another mention today as a possible site for the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
Politico's Mike Allen reports in his morning Playbook that Republicans will pick Tampa for their quadrennial shindig.
"Dems have a confidential process and won’t announce their pick for many months," Allen writes. "Local press reports say the party has looked at St. Louis, Philly, Phoenix and Charlotte. The President's reelection convention will be held the week of Sept. 3."
