Florida's Crist, trailing Rubio badly, may run as independent

Florida's Gov. Charlie Crist has until April 30 to decide if he'll run as an independent rather than as a Republican as he seeks to replace retiring Sen. Mel Martinez. Polls have shown that Crist could win election as an independent, though he's running well behind fellow Republican and Tea Party favorite Marco Rubio in the Republican primary.
