A GOP Christmas: Senate won't stay late for health care vote

The final Senate vote on health care will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, 13 hours earlier than feared, after Republican senators realized that pushing it too late on Christmas Eve might keep them, too, from getting home for the holiday. Republicans have been prolonging debate and forcing a series of procedural votes even though it's been clear since Saturday that the health care bill would pass.
