Holder decides to try accused 9/11 plotters in New York

Attorney General Eric Holder, rejecting concerns about security risks, announced Friday that confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged underlings will face a federal court trial in New York just blocks from the scene of the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history. Five other detainees will be sent before military commissions on charges ranging from orchestrating the bombing of the USS Cole to throwing a hand grenade that killed two American soldiers in Afghanistan in 2002.
