Turns out Obama really did consider Hillary to be VP

A new book by the manager of Obama's presidential campaign says both he and Obama adviser David Axelrod were surprised by how seriously Obama was considering picking vanguished rival Hillary Clinton for the vice presidency. Hillary didn't make the final cut, David Plouffe writes, because of concerns about Bill Clinton. The nod went to Joe Biden after the other top contenders, Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana and Tim Kaine of Virginia, were rejected as not having the proper heft or experience.
