Black Latin Americans dream Obama will mean better times

Between 30 and 40 percent of Latin America's population is of African descent, yet racism remains a powerful influence. While activists don't expect Obama to reach out specifically to their communities, they do hope that the dialogue between him or his administration with Latin American leaders could have a positive impact in countries where black Latinos have little influence.
