Were Geithner's unpaid taxes errors or cheating?

Tax errors that embattled Treasury Secretary-designee Timothy Geithner has admitted include Social Security and Medicare taxes he acknowledged in writing hadn't been deducted from his pay and claiming a child care credit for his kids' summer camp fees. "Anyone who has kids and has filled out that form knows that it's wrong," said one tax-law expert. He also didn't pay a 10 percent penalty on early withdrawal from a tax-exempt retirement account. "That's just a red flag," said another tax expert.
