Is Florida's Gulf Coast going Democratic?

Democrats on Florida's West Coast point to a surge in early voter turnout as proof that the political landscape there could be starting to shift. Through the first five days of early voting in Manatee County, south of Tampa, 6,979 voters cast ballots, and 46 percent were registered Democrats while 28 percent were Republicans.
