Fired official asked Palin about her car seat use with Trig

Twelve days before Gov. Sarah Palin fired Walt Monegan as Alaska's public safety commissioner, Monegan had inquired about an allegation that she'd been driving her infant son Trig without using a state-approved car seat, according to a 25-page written deposition from Todd Palin in the "troopergate" scandal. Gov. Palin denied the allegation and demanded to know who made it. Todd Palin said the incident was one of several conflicts between Monegan and his wife. He also said whatever happened with Trig had been on "a private farm road with no traffic."
