Florida poll: McCain has lead, but Obama wins on economy

A poll of 800 Florida voters found McCain preferred 47 to 45 percent, with a margin of error of 3.5 percent. But when asked who would improve the economy, Obama was the clear favorite, 49 to 40 percent for all voters, 53 to 30 percent among independent voters, and 56 to 34 percent among voters for whom the economy is the most important issue.
