Defections further isolate Gadhafi; Obama calls for ouster

Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi tightened his grip on Tripoli Saturday, reportedly paying and arming civilians to prop up his crumbling regime. Residents reached by phone said they were running out of food, and there were fears that Gadhafi was preparing to unleash new assaults to extend his control to rebellious areas outside of Tripoli. Meanwhile, Obama for the first time said Gadhafi must go.
