Hair salons once again the fashion for women in Iraq

Religious extremists ran most Iraqi hair stylists out of business and into exile two years ago, when violence reached its peak. Cutting hair was a forbidden vocation, especially when it was the hair of women who should only be seen by their husbands. But such extremism is on the retreat in Iraq today, despite lingering violence, and hair salons once again are doing a brisk business.
