Challenger to Pakistani warlord Baitullah Mehsud killed

The only challenger to Pakistani warlord Baitullah Mehsud from within his tribe was gunned down Tuesday, dealing a huge blow to efforts to eliminate the leader of the Pakistani Taliban. Qari Zainuddin, the sole leader to emerge from Baitullah's Mehsud clan to resist him openly, was shot as he slept at his headquarters Tuesday morning in Dera Ismail Khan.
