Obama's Afghanistan plan offers few solutions for Pakistan

Obama's new strategy for defeating the Taliban in Afghanistan offers few new options for dealing with what experts now say is a much larger terrorist haven — Pakistan. Osama bin Laden may have orchestrated 9/11 from Afghanistan, but since then, al Qaida's leaders have built a powerful presence in Pakistan's tribal areas, where a Pakistani Taliban offshoot now threatens Pakistan's stability. Administration offiicals acknowledge their options for dealing with that are limited.
