Egyptian cop sentenced to 10-year prison term for crackdown on protesters that left 37 dead

An Egyptian court Tuesday sentenced a police officer to 10 years in prison for the killing of 37 Islamists during the height of the government crackdown on supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, marking the first time the government has held its forces responsible for its often violent tactics toward government opponents.
