Round-up of daily Violence in Iraq - Friday 3 September, 2010

A roadside bomb targeted a joint Sahwa and Iraqi Police checkpoint in Tarmiyah, northwest Baghdad, at 2 p.m. Friday, injuring four civilians, two Sahwa members and one policeman. A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the private car of Police Lieut. Col. Mohammed Riyadh, chief of a directorate of Iraqi Police in Baghdad, detonated at 10 p.m. Thursday, seriously injuring Riyadh and killing his brother who was with him in the car. His brother was one of the security guards of the Minister of Defence.
