Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Friday 2 June, 2010

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the car of Abdulkereem Muhammed, member of the new parliament for the secular Iraqiya bloc, detonated in Dawoodi neighbourhood, west Baghdad, at 11 a.m. Friday. Muhammed had detected an unusual object stuck to the underside of his car, ran far from it and started to phone for help, when the bomb exploded, destroying the car and causing material damages to the nearby stores. Muhammed got away with superficial injuries. A roadside bomb targeted pilgrims in Firdaws Square, Sadoun Street, central Baghdad at 8 a.m. Friday, injuring three.
