A suicide bomber driving a car bomb, a taxi, targeted a U.S. military convoy in the centre of the city of Jalowlaa, 110 km to the northeast of Baquba at around 10 a.m. Friday, killing three civilians including one woman and one policeman and injuring at least ten other Iraqis. According to a U.S. military release: Two U.S. Division – North Soldiers were killed and six injured after a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near their combined patrol today. A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. military convoy at the entrance of Saqlawiyah district, 10 km to the north of Fallujah, Thursday. The explosion destroyed one of the American military vehicles that had to be loaded onto a flat-bed truck to be moved away. No report of U.S. casualties was available at time of publication.
