Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Saturday 29 May, 2010

A roadside bomb targeted a joint police and army checkpoint in Taji district, north Baghdad at 4 p.m. Saturday, killing two soldiers and injuring two soldiers and two policemen. Abdulmelik Marwan, a student in 12th grade was shot and killed by checkpoint security in Baladruz, to the northeast of Baquba, at around 11 p.m. Friday. Allegedly, Marwan, riding a motorbike, did not stop at the checkpoint in accordance with instructions, and was shot at, and killed.
