Coordinated bombings seriously wound Anbar governor

The three-pronged attack began at about 10 a.m. when a car bomb exploded at a busy intersection outside the Anbar government and police compound in the provincial capital of Ramadi — just as Anbar Gov. Qasim al Fahdawi prepared to leave for a ground-breaking. As the governor inspected the blast site, a suicide bomber struck, seriously wounding him. A third bomb seemed designed to block other exits. At least 24 people died.
