Clear winner in Honduran crisis: Venezuela's Hugo Chavez

Chavez, an avowed socialist, critic of the United States and authoritairan at home, has emerged as the unlikely leading champion of democracy for Honduras. He orchestrated deposed President Manuel Zelaya's audacious attempt to return to Honduras on Sunday. It remains to be seen, however, if he can triumph over the more cautious approach advocated by the United States.
