Detainee who won Guantanamo habeas case to go to France

Lakhdar Boumediene, 43, was arrested along with five other Algerians in 2001 in Bosnia, suspected in a bomb attack plot against the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo. But he's best known for being the named plaintiff in the case that led the U.S. Supreme Court to rule that detainees held at Guantanamo have the right to challenge their imprisonment in U.S. courts.
