After six decades, Paraguay's ruling party loses presidency

Thousands of people rushed into Asuncion's streets Sunday night as Fernando Lugo's victory became clear. For nearly all Paraguayans it was the first change of government control they'd seen in their lifetimes. "I was born and grew up and still live with the same policy and the same regime, and now, finally, we have ended that," said Lilia Acuna, 57.
