Agency's task: Make economic stats more meaningful

The Great Recession officially ended in June 2009, but despite five consecutive quarters of economic growth since then, many Americans simply don't see or feel it. That's why the Bureau of Economic Analysis, a division of the U.S. Commerce Department that compiles official economic growth figures, is seeking to make them more meaningful.
