Never mind the oil spill, gas prices always go up in May

It isn't just the oil rig spewing hundreds of thousands of gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico. Along with Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day and Memorial Day, May brings higher gasoline prices at the pump as we creep toward summer. Nationally, gasoline prices averaged $2.93, a 7-cent jump from Monday.
