(Video has no sound) San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said that two adults are dead in what appeared to be a murder-suicide shooting at North Park Elementary School. At least two students were taken to a hospital with injuries. Other students in the school were evacuated and taken to a nearby school.
Education Secretary Besty DeVos' visit to Jefferson Middle School Academy in Southwest Washington, D.C. on Friday was blocked by protesters. One eyewitness who was streaming the protest on Periscope captured the arrest of one protester. DeVos eventually made it inside the school, meeting with district officials, as well as Jefferson Academy administration, teachers and students.
Ohio State University says a shelter-in-place warning has been lifted and the scene is secure following reports of an active shooter and at least seven people injured. Ohio State tweeted Monday morning that all classes would be canceled for the rest of the day.

Protesters have taken to the streets of Charlotte following the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott on Tuesday. Officials allege a black officer opened fire on Scott after he emerged from his car with a gun in the University City area. Family members say Scott, a disabled black man, was holding a book.
