Two dead, many without power in North Carolina

At least two people have died, more than 227,000 homes and businesses are without power, and two piers have been seriously damaged as Hurricane Irene moves across North Carolina's coastal sounds after making landfall this morning near Cape Lookout. Flooding is severe around the southern sounds.
