Bill to repeal light-bulb standards falls short in House

It looks like lights out for old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. The Republican-controlled House voted 233-193 on Tuesday for the Better Use of Light Bulbs Act, which would have repealed higher energy-efficiency standards for bulbs. But the measure needed a two-thirds majority to pass.
