After weeks of speculation, Michelle Rhee announced today how she plans to follow her tumultuous three-year tenure as D.C. school chancellor, which ended Oct. 31.
Rhee is launching an advocacy group called StudentsFirst, which aims to be "a national movement to defend the interests of children in public education and pursue transformative reform," according to a press release.
StudentsFirst has not chosen where it will be based out of yet. Rhee, who will serve as the organization's CEO, will remain in D.C. until the end of the school year as her children finish school.
