Gay rights: Lesbian sues Florida hospital over access to dying partner

In Florida, same-sex marriages or partnerships are not recognized. In 2007, Janice Langbehn was told by officials at Jackson Hospital in Miami that she couldn't visit her partner of 17 years as her partner slipped into a coma. By the time they relented, she could only say her final farewell as a priest performed the last rites. Now she's suing for pain and suffering.
