DNA leads to arrest in six Anchorage rapes dating to 2001

Special Victims Unit detectives say they developed Richard Dorsey as a suspect in the crimes in March when he was on trial for sexually assaulting a woman in a grocery store in July 2006. The case ended with a hung jury, and prosecutors took a DNA sample from Dorsey in preparation for a new trial. That new sample linked Dorsey to an unsolved 2002 rape.
