Texans taking reins of GOP's re-election efforts

Sen. John Cornyn is expected to be elected chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee on Tuesday, putting him in charge of re-election prospects for the GOP in 2010. On the House side, Rep. Pete Sessions of Dallas has the backing of the House leadership to unseat Tom Cole, R-Okla., for the chairmanship of the National Republican Congressional Committee.
