Khalid Sheik Mohammed gets June 5 court date

The chief judge of the Guantánamo Bay war court has set June 5 for the first court appearances of alleged 9/11 architect Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four alleged co-conspirators.

Marine Col. Ralph Kohlmann notified military defense attorneys by email Wednesday afternoon that he was assigning himself to the case -- and would arraign the men on June 5 at the U.S. Navy base in southeast Cuba.

It was unclear whether the date would hold. Kohlmann instructed case lawyers to notify the court if the date was not possible.
