The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

Two people were killed and six others were injured when two stuck bomb which were attached to two cars detonated in sequence in Shaab neighborhood in north Baghdad around 9 a.m.

Four civilians were injured by a roadside bomb in Karrada neighborhood in downtown Baghdad on Monday afternoon.

Nineveh

Gunmen killed a retired former officer in Palestine neighborhood in south Mosul on Monday morning.

Two policemen were injured by a roadside bomb in alZohoor neighborhood in east Mosul on Monday morning.

Diyala

Two civilians were injured by a bomb in Khalis town north of Baquba around 12 p.m.

Kirkuk

On Monday evening, one civilian was killed and five others were injured by an adhesive bomb that was stuck to a car in downtown kirkuk city.
