Nearly 71 years after the United States dropped an atomic bomb there, President Obama laid a wreath at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. "We’re not bound by genetic code to repeat the mistakes of the past. We can learn. We can choose," Obama said in a statement after the wreath-laying.
