Penguins rescued off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state in Brazil recuperate on July 21, 2008, and are nursed in the zoo of Niteroi, Brazil. The penguin third from the bottom has just died. Hundreds of Patagonian penguins have washed up since late-June on the Brazilian coast. Many of them are baby penguins and arrived suffering from hypothermia, malnutrition and other ailments.
