Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq-Monday 17 November 2008

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.
Baghdad
- Around 1:30 pm a magnetic bomb detonated under a civilian car in Sheikh Omar neighborhood (north Baghdad). Five people were injured.
- Around 3 pm a magnetic bomb detonated under a civilian car on the Mohammed Al-Qassim high way in down town Baghdad. Two people were injured.
- Around 3:30 pm a magnetic bomb detonated under a civilian car in Jamia’a neighborhood (west Baghdad). Three people were injured.
- Police found 1 dead body in Shurta neighborhood in Karkh bank.
Mayssan
- A car bomb detonated in downtown Amarah city (about 242 miles south of Baghdad). Eighteen people were injured (two of the in serious condition) with 16 cars damaged.
Mosul
- Sunday night, a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Borsa neighborhood in Mosul city. Three people were injured.
- Sunday night , a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Wadi Hajar neighborhood in downtown Mosul city. One policeman was killed and another was injured.
- Around noon, a car bomb targeted a police patrol in Dawasa neighborhood in Mosul city. One policeman was killed and six people were injured including three policemen.
