Baghdad

Five civilians were injured including the head of the Journalists Union when a bomb that was planted nearby the main gate of the Journalists’ Union in Waziriyah neighborhood in east Baghdad on Saturday morning.

Police found five unidentified bodies throughout Baghdad today. Four bodies were found in the yard of one of the houses in Saidiyah neighborhood in the district No.827 which was under the control of Qaeda while the fifth body was found in Zafaraniyah area.

Nineveh

Gunmen killed two policemen near al Kabeer Mosque in al Farouq neighborhood in downtown Mosul city north of Baghdad on Saturday morning.

Three civilians were wounded by a parked car bomb in al Faisaliyah neighborhood in downtown Mosul city on Saturday morning.

Police found three bodies of women in Tal afar town west of Mosul city.

Two civilians were killed and seventeen others were injured when a suicide car bomber targeted a football yard in downtown Tal afar west of Mosul city around 5:00 p.m.

A driver was injured by a roadside bomb that targeted his truck in downtown Mosul city on Friday evening.

Basra

Gunmen assassinated a cleric in Basra city on Friday evening. Police said that the gunmen assassinated Sheikh Udai Ali Abbas in his house in al Kindi neighborhood in north Basra.
