The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq , much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 9 pm, a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol at the Sadoon Street near the National Theatre .Two policemen were injured with two other civilians who were at the scene.

- Around 3 pm, 2 mortar shells hit Zafaraniyah neighborhood near the Al-Ali Al-Adheem mosque . Three people were injured with two houses destroyed in that incident.

- 2 mortar rounds fell on Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, near al-Ali al-Adhim Mosque wounding 2 civilians and causing material damages to 2 houses.

- 2 unidentified bodies were found in Baghdad today, 1 in Ma’amil neighbourhood and 1 in Jihad.

Mosul

- Around 12 pm, a roadside bomb exploded by mistake killed five Sahwa members and injured three others .The Sahwa members found that IED at Shurqat in Mosul and they thought they defused it .
