The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondants in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

3 policemen and 3 civilians injured as roadside bomb exploded targeting a police patrol near the traffic bridge in Baladiyat moving in the direction of Zayuna, east Baghdad at about 07:00 this morning.

2 civilians injured as IED exploded near Musa bin Nusair petrol station in Karrada district, central Baghdad.

4 civilians injured as roadside bomb goes off near al Ghadeer traffic bridge in the direction of Maysaloon Sq, east Baghdad at around 03:00 this afternoon.

The motorcade of the Deputy Minster of Electricity, Salam al-Qazaz escorted him home and left only to be targeted by a roadside bomb in Palestine St, district No 502 leaving 2 of the security personnel and 1 civilian wounded.

A parked car bomb exploded in Kadhemiyah neighbourhood, near Salahuddin Sq at 04:30 this afternoon killing 3 civilians and injuring 6.

2 bodies were found in Baghdad by Iraqi Police. 1 in Palestine St and 1 in Saidiyah.

Diyala

Clashes between gunmen and police in al-Tahrir neighbourhood, central Baquba left 2 civilians wounded.

2 women, ages 50 and 55, cousins to the governor of Diyala, Raad al-Mulla were abducted by gunmen who had put up a false checkpoint between al-Abbara area and Baquba city last night. Their fate remains unknown.

Salahuddin

Iraqi Police found 1 severed head on the main road in the centre of the town of Tuz this morning and had found 2 severed heads near Tuz bridge yesterday morning.

A father and his son were shot to death by gunmen near al-Zaitoon restaurant in the north of Baiji. The man was a labourer from the village of Albu Jwari, 5 km to the north of Baiji.

Mosul

A suspicious parked car drew the attention of the security forces in Sukkar neighbourhood near al-Khensaa hospital, downtown Mosul this afternoon and precautions were being taken when the car bomb went off. No casualties were reported.

A car bomb exploded in Karama neighbourhood, east Mosul injuring 2 civilians.

2 unidentified bodies were found in Mosul by the police.
