The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 8 a.m. a roadside bomb targeted civilians near Al Shaab stadium, injuring five civilians.

- Around 9 a.m. a roadside bomb targeted civilians near Jisr Diyala, injuring six civilians.

- Police found five bodies in Baghdad, one in Sadr, two in Doura and two in Amil.

Kirkuk

- Police found one body in Al Saadiyah area west of Kirkuk.

Diyala

- Gunmen attacked a Peshmerga post in Qarataba (70 Kilometers north of Baqouba), killing eight soldiers and injuring five. Three gunmen were killed in the attack.
