Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq-Thursday 15 November 2007

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.
Baghdad
- Around 7:45 a.m. A gunman riding a motorcycle killed Suad Kukaz, Al Amal high school principle, as she left her home in Kadhemiyah today.
- Around 8:30 a.m. a roadside targeted civilians in Karrada, injuring two civilians.
- Around 3:30 p.m. a roadside bomb targeted civilians in Al Nidhal Street in Karrada, injuring 3 civilians.
- Police found 6 dead bodies throughout Baghdad. 1 in Palestine St, 1 in Karrada, 1 in Shoala, 1 in Doura, 1 in Bayaa, 1 in Saidiyah
Kirkuk
- Around 7:45 a.m. A suicide car bomb targeted Brigadier General Omar Khatab, a commander of a police emergency battalion, in Kirkuk, injuring Khatab and killing 3 of his body guards and injuring 3 other guards, four civilians were killed and 13 were injured.
- A roadside bomb targeted Iraqi police vehicle on a main road south of Kirkuk, injuring 6 soldiers.
Basra
- Police lieutenant Jassim Al Daraji killed two suspects of killing his brother, LC Ali Al Daraji, during their investigation in police intelligence yesterday. The two killed suspects were among 4 suspects were detained earlier. Jassim was detained after he shot the two detainees.
Babil
- A suicide wearing a vest bomb targeted a funeral ceremony in Mueilha area northern Babil province yesterday, killing Emad Al Gartani, the head of the awakening council in that area, and injuring ten others.
Diyala
- Several mortar shells slammed into Al Ajeem village today, injuring 3 residents.
- A roadside bomb targeted a civilian car in Tala Abass area, injuring three civilians.
- Gunmen killed Mohamed Salah, a farmer, north of Baqouba near Jalawla today.
- Police found the body of Fadel Ahmed on a main road northern Jalawla yesterday. Police said Ahmed was killed by gangsters who stole all his possessions and added Ahmed owned bricks factory in the area.
