Kentucky voters far prefer Paul to McConnell

McClatchy Washington BureauAugust 13, 2014

It’s in part a statement about the unpopularity of Mitch McConnell, but new polling shows just how much Kentuckians prefer Rand Paul of their state’s two senators.

By an 18 point margin, 44/26, Kentucky voters polled this month by Public Policy Polling said Paul is their favorite among the two Republicans.

Republicans especially like Paul better than McConnell – 56/31 – but Democrats mostly agreed, favoring Paul by a 32/24 spread, according to the polling.
