Pharrell Williams, second from left, and Daft Punk accept the award for record of the year at the 56th annual Grammy Awards at Staples Center on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Los Angeles.

The White House is preparing for President Obama to deliver his State of the Union address on Tuesday. His guests will include survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing, the nation's first openly gay professional basketball player, and a 16-year-old inventor. U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington state will deliver the Republican response.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke ends his tenure on Friday; Janet Yellen takes over on Saturday as the first woman to head the bank.

Commercials during Sunday night's Grammy awards sold for about $1 million, a new high for a 30-second spot. But you can't buy publicity like Pharrell Williams earned with his hat.
