Polls are open across the country today:

Democrat Terry McAuliffe is favored to win Virginia's gubernatorial race, with campaign support from Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

New York City, Boston and Detroit are choosing new Mayors. Bill de Blasio, a likely victor, would be the first Democratic mayor of New York since David Dinkins left office in 1993.

Marijuana is on the ballot in Maine and Colorado.

Washington state will vote on an initiative that requires labeling genetically modified foods, which would be the first in the nation to pass.
