David Enders

David Enders is McClatchy's Syria bureau chief, based in Beirut, Lebanon.

He is the author of the book Baghdad Bulletin, which was based on his reporting in Iraq. David also has reported and produced for Al Jazeera English's People and Power in Egypt and Iraq, for The Nation, Vice and The Virginia Quarterly Review. He also has received a grant from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.

David grew up in Grand Rapids and went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
