Kansas City's 'boutique' gasoline no longer so special

Ten years ago the Kansas City area switched to a special blend of gasoline in the summer to battle smog.

The “boutique gas,” experts said, would slash harmful vapors wafting into the air. And it wouldn’t cost much more.

Wrong on both counts.
